The word ‘Soma’ comes from ancient greek and translates into ‘living body’. Somatic practices explore how we experience ourselves and our relationships - with others and the environment. In somatic coaching process we work with the body in its wholeness, not just the intellect but also the deeply stored patterns and emotions that might be holding you back from living fully. We’re always interested in what emerges in the present moment in terms of the embodied experience of the here and now. We tap into the intelligence of your nervous system in a way that feels safe and organic.

Marta gave me several training sessions in the fall of 2022 - both in person and online. I reached out to her to help alleviate anxiety symptoms and get to the root of some of these issues. I particularly suffer from performance anxiety (public speaking) which was making my work a nightmare. After a few sessions, we got to a core memory that I had previously buried in my subconsciousness. Once it was brought to light I could integrate it into myself and make conscious decisions on how to manage my anxiety in this area. Marta also showed me several tactics that I now use to keep myself calm and prevent a growing panic attack. I’m very grateful to her and I think the work she does can greatly help other individuals.

Sessions with Marta give me so much comfort. I'm able to enjoy all sensations without judgement, and welcome myself just as I am. The sensations I had in our last session were connected to my past trauma. During our session I was able to rewrite it in the present experience which was amazing. As soon as the session started, Marta immediately worked out what I needed. We did some movement which really helped me come back to the present moment. The next morning I noticed I was accepting myself so much more, my skin, my tummy. When I opened the window the breeze touched my face and I felt so alive!.
